Mark Torreano (Class of 1968)Mark has been active in AOG programs and chapters his entire career. He served on the Academy staff in the Alumni Office in the mid 70’s, working on planning for Doolittle Hall and developing the Class Wall at the Chapel. He was on the organizing committees for the Colorado, Washington DC and Hawaii Chapters and has served on the AOG Board of Directors. His Air Force career included intelligence and politico-military assignments in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Hawaii, Washington DC and Colorado Springs, where he also taught political science for five years. Mark was an Air Force Research Associate at The Brookings Institution and a National Security Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He retired in 1995 as a colonel and spent 15 years with Lockheed Martin in various business development roles. His wife, Mimi, is an Air Force brat from the Springs and his son, Mark Jr, is a 1994 USAFA grad while his daughter, Marcy, married a classmate of Mark Jr’s. Fun fact: they both were born at the USAFA Hospital.
